The story incorporates Filipino traditions and culture to honor Maria's background, and she's dedicating this movie to all caregivers who selflessly protect and support their loved ones, acknowledging their own mental health needs.
Set in a fantasy world, the movie follows a mother and daughter from a bloodline connected to a tribe of terrifying mythical creatures native to the Philippines.

Maya Johnson, reeling from her father's recent tragic death, decides to travel with her daughter, Lilibeth, to the Philippines to fulfill her father's wish of being buried beside her mother. But haunting memories of her past resurface, leading Maya to postpone their trip.
However, the dark force comes for Maya and abducts her daughter, pulling her back to the enchanted land where she encountered the ancient curse of the Aswang, a malevolent entity threatening her daughter's life.

Despite a victorious battle and miraculous resurrection, the nightmare continues.
